It stars Lindsay lohan as the owner of the adorable Herbie. The story starts with Maggie Peyton, the youngest of the Peyton racing family being gifted her graduation present, Herbie. The adorable Volkswagen and Maggie develop a strong bond. Maggie’s friend Kevin is a grease monkey, who has a soft spot for Maggie and is one of Herbie’s ardent well-wishers. As soon as Maggie selects Her get rid of moobs bie, the duo land up at Kevin’s shop, thanks to the mischievous Herbie. From here, Herbie takes Maggie to a spare parts shop where they meet the baddie NASCAR champion Trip Murphy. Herbie tricks Maggie into a race with Murphy which they win narrowly. Murphy is expectedly furious. He is unable to identify the driver or find Herbie.Murphy finally finds a way to lure Maggie and Herbie by organizing a race. Ray Sr., Maggie’s father is not happy with the idea of women racing. Also Maggie’s last experience with street racing left her hospitalized. So Maggie sneaks out without her father’s knowledge and wins Murphy’s level one race too. The next leg of the race involves Murphy racing against Maggie. But Maggie is obsessed with the thought of winning Murphy’s car in the pink slip final race. This makes Herbie jealous and he purposely loses the race.
